India's new agricultural policy was implemented in the year 1967-68, in which high-yielding seeds were sown and new techniques of agriculture were used, due to which there was a rapid increase in crop production, this is called Green Revolution.


Father of Green Revolution in India

The Green Revolution started in India in the year 1966-67. Its credit is dedicated to Nobel laureate Professor Norman Borlaug.  But MS Swaminathan is called the father of Green Revolution in India.  The meaning of Green Revolution is to increase agricultural production by using hybrid and bone seeds by producing more quantity in irrigated and non-irrigated agricultural areas.  Due to the Green Revolution, there has been a huge increase in the agriculture sector in India, and due to the improvement in agriculture, the production capacity of agriculture has increased in the country.
